Hurricane Season is here !!! Is your Drone Team ready !!! Hear from the experts on how drones can assist the state with hurricane response.

About this Event

The growing use of drones enabled emergency managers and first responders to more quickly and safety gather aerial images and videos that improves the response and recovery efforts following a hurricane. In the last few years we have seen academia and private sector also assisting federal and state agencies with drone response and management. The FREE VIRTUAL workshop will bring federal, state & local, military, academia and industry experts together on a panel to discuss on best practices and past hurricane response efforts with drones. This workshop will also discuss how public and private sector UAS teams need to prepare for this Hurricane Season. The session will also focus on some new trends, regulations, technology, etc. that will better prepare the teams for emergency response. We will also cover lessons learned from Hurricane Florence and Dorian.

The workshop will be followed by Let’s Talk Drones a chatroom for drone enthusiasts to network and talk about drones. This session will highlight ‘Drones in Disaster Response’. We will have experts to answer your questions during the session.
